Phoenicia Hotel Art Photo (PHAP) Competition
Rebecca Russo is Honorary Member of the Judges Board for the Phoenicia Hotel Art Photo (PHAP) Competition.
Building once again on its established reputation as an Art Hotel and supporter of artistic talent, the Phoenicia Hotel announces the launch of the Phoenicia Hotel Art Photo (PHAP) competition.
This initiative invites one artist per month to enjoy complimentary room and board for a night at the Phoenicia Hotel and to create a work of art using the medium of photography during the experience. Participating artists will compete for a grand prize of USD 5,000, which comes with a quirky twist: the prize money will be increased by the same amount in dollars as the room number allocated to the winning artist during their stay.
Judging of the 12 pieces of photo art will take place at the end of each year and will be followed by an exhibition of the works.
A limited edition of five prints of each of the 12 works will be made available for sale during the exhibition, with part of the proceeds going to the photographers and part to charities of their choice.
