CAREGIVER
Care as urgency, dedication, and vision in Contemporary Art
Curated by Rebecca Russo
Promoted by Videoinsight® Foundation – ETS
Location: Magazzini dell’Arte Contemporanea – Via Custonaci 5, 91100 Trapani (TP)
Exhibition Period: July 29 – August 29, 2026
On July 29, 2026, at 7:00 PM, the evocative spaces of the Magazzini dell’Arte Contemporanea in Trapani will host the inauguration of “CAREGIVER,” a major international group exhibition promoted by Videoinsight® Foundation – ETS and curated by Rebecca Russo.
The exhibition, the result of an Open Call launched in February 2026, presents a profound and multifaceted exploration of the crucial theme of CARE.
Through the lens of international artists, the exhibition explores the many facets of the concept of caregiving: not only as physical or healthcare assistance, but as an existential attitude, ethical responsibility, interpersonal bond, and a tool for psychophysical and social regeneration.
The Curatorial Vision: Art as a Healing Device
The project, conceived by Rebecca Russo, fits perfectly into the historical mission of Videoinsight® Foundation – ETS, a pioneer in exploring the therapeutic, transformative, and cognitive potential of contemporary art.
In a historical era marked by vulnerability and fragmentation, the figure of the Caregiver (one who takes care of others) becomes a universal archetype.
The winning artists of the Open Call address this crucial theme with a variety of languages, offering the public not only works to contemplate, but genuine stimuli and insights to activate inner resources and promote emotional well-being.
Caring means welcoming others, recognizing their fragility and transforming it into a shared strength. Contemporary art has the extraordinary power to bridge, heal, and provide catharsis.
