When Science produces Art unconsciously, a magical alchemy is born. One of those unions where Soul and Body intertwine in a dance that promotes beauty, a forge of health and well-being for that suffering humanity lived with reluctance and detachment from merciless glances. Beauty must be sought, hunted down, savored, because, the Sublime, as Rebecca Russo says, ‘is inherent in us’. The sublime birth is born from the union between Art and Science, the fantastic idea of ​​an avant-garde project, unique in the world, of its kind. Rebecca Russo, President of the Videoinsight® Foundation, a wise philanthropist, once again proves to be a pioneer, becoming the intense glue of this intertwining of Art and Medical Science.

Sublime is the intent, Sublime is the title, Sublime is the content of this refined Exhibition of Vintage Photographs that the Rizzoli Orthopedic Institute, an Italian medical excellence, offers to the public in the Monumental Wing, in the Octagonal Cloister frescoed by the Carraccis and in the Viseur Room. A unique and original event, woven with human bodies, sinuous and elegant orthopedic corsets, white fabrics, plaster casts and bows that today would be coveted by the most eccentric stylists. The perfect balance between Science and Art in the representation of the figures mysteriously enchants and disorients the spectator. Reality becomes a dream, creating a surrealist impact, a paradoxical and emblematic effect. The sublime harmony of the forms in a muffled atmosphere of other times leads the visitor on unexplored and fascinating paths.

Rebecca and the Videoinsight® Foundation have had a beautiful effect, the subjects and objects portrayed go beyond their own meaning to become timeless works of art.
